Made by renowned Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami in collaboration with Usaburo No Mago, these handmade kokeshi dolls are Japanese wooden dolls traditionally made for children. It is said that the Kokeshi dolls were originally sold at hot springs in the Tohoku region of Japan during the late Edo period to supplement business and keep worker’s hands busy during the winter months. The set comes in a signed wooden box with year and numbered COA.
